What we are looking for:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Permanent Full-Time Chef to work at Northshore Hospital Staff cafe, Auckland .
What will you be doing?
Responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting food
Receive and store kitchen supplies
Apply catering control principles
Coach others
Establish and maintain quality control, and assist with ordering and menu development
Assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties
Provide cover for annual and sick leave (as and when required)
Our Ideal Candidate:
Hardworking, reliable and have a friendly and positive attitude.
Experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167 & 168) or be willing to train for one.
Thrive under pressure and be a team player.
Knowledge of temperature procedures and can work to timeframes.
Superior customer service skills and demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
