Chef

We are currently looking for a Chef for our bar at Waikato, who will be responsible for the following tasks:Develop and plan menus and daily specials.Create prep lists for the kitchen crew.Manage food costing and inventory.Delegate tasks to kitchen staff.Coordinate with the front of house team about daily specials.Check the freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.Supervise other kitchen staff.You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week.Pay Rate - $27 - $32 /Per HourOther Requirements:One year of relevant work experience or relevant qualification Level 4 or above.Should be available to work on weekends and evening shifts.Good coordination skills.Leadership skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shift.Monday to Friday.Shift work.Weekend availability.
