Chefs Wanted (Chinese Cuisine) Work Location: New Plymouth

Employment type: Full time

Our pay: $29.66 - $33 per hour depending on experience.

We are a well established and busy Chinese Fusion restaurant in New Plymouth. To meet increasing community needs we are now looking for 2 chefs to join our team. We are expecting someone who are team players and are multi-tasking.
Minimum 3 years relevant experience (preferrable having experience in Asian cuisine, but not essential) Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens. Tasks Include: Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
Ensure quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation 
Planning menus and analyse food requirement
Ensure that recipes and proportions are adhered to, to ensure consistency, quality and cost control
Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service
Ensuring clear communication between team members to improve operation and workflows of kitchens
Adhering to the food control plan and cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen
