Hotel: Scenic Hotel Bay of Islands
Location: 58 Seaview Road, Paihia
Employment Type: Fixed Term (October 2024 - April 2025)
Hours of work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week. Rotating roster that will include weekends. Breakfast & Dinner shifts.

What You'll Do and Your Responsibilities:
Preparation, cooking and serving of food for service.
Preparation, cooking and serving of staff meals.
Ensure all food is served and stored at the correct temperatures and meets Hotel standards, menu specifications and Kitchen guidelines.
Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures set out by legislation and hotel policy.
Assisting with any other kitchen duties as required by the Head Chef.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
2-3 years experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
1-2 years experience in a similar role (Desired).
A certificate at NZQF Level 4, or higher qualification, in Cookery or equivalent qualification (Desired).
Food Handling Certificate (Desired).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing).
