About the roleThe Platform Brew bar is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our dynamic team in Kaiapoi, Canterbury.
As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality, creative dishes that showcase our locally-sourced ingredients and reflect our focus on the best of New Zealand cuisine.What you'll be doingPrepare and cook a variety of dishes to our exacting standardsEnsure the kitchen operates efficiently and all food safety and hygiene regulations are metCollaborate with the team to develop new menu items and specialsAssist with ordering and inventory management to minimise wasteMaintain a clean and organised kitchen environmentProvide exceptional customer service and a positive dining experience for our guestsWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a similar restaurant or hospitality settingStrong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentationAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and produce dishes to a high standardExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPassion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create innovative and flavourful dishesFood safety certification and relevant qualificationsWhat we offerAt The Platform Brew bar, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
