Our Client in Papatoetoe, Auckland is looking for full-time Chefs.
Minimum 30 Hours and Maximum 40 Hours Guaranteed.
NZ $29.00 to NZ $30.00 Per Hour.
Multiple positions available.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with our recipes.
Design and develop creative and seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and target market.
Continuously innovate to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Manage and train kitchen staff, including line cooks and kitchen assistants.
Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Ensure all dishes are presented beautifully and meet taste and quality expectations.
Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff.
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
Prepare, cook, and serve quality menu items for the hospital staff.
Establish and maintain quality control, and assist with ordering and menu development.
Assist with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
Handle some ordering and basic kitchen management.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Full-time role minimum 30 hours per week includes evenings, late nights, public holidays, and weekends.
Minimum 3+ years experience.
Job Requirements
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong delegation and customer service skills.
The highest standards of food and occupational safety and hygiene.
Hardworking, reliable, and possess a friendly and positive attitude.
Experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen.
Superior customer service skills and a passion for great food, customer service, and quality.
Knowledge of temperature procedures and ability to work to timeframes.
