The Wooing Tree vineyard (https://wooingtree.co.nz/) located in the heart of Central Otago is expanding and about to open a brand new and custom-built cellar door, wine bar, and restaurant located in the heart of Cromwell, 30 mins from Queenstown and Wanaka.I am looking for a Chef to join our team who will help with prep and service. The kitchen is a semi-open design, so being comfortable working in front of customers is a must. This is a full-time and permanent role. However, we are also on the hunt for a part-timer as well.Our menu is a mix of à la carte using fresh and seasonal products sourced locally. We will also be offering platters during lunch and à la carte during dinner. Our goal is to make as much product onsite, so experience with the basics is really important. This means good knife skills, the ability to be clean and well-presented, as well as experience with mother sauces and preparation of meat and fish.Personality and attitude are the most important parts of this role. You will need to be resilient, have great energy, and want to learn and develop professionally. You will be asked key questions around this during the interview stage.You will need to have prior experience working in a kitchen. We also encourage people who have experience as a senior CDP to apply as the role could be opened up to this position.You will need to be based in NZ for this role.
