About The Role - Te mahiWe are seeking talented Chef De Partie to join our amazing team at our beautiful Airport Hotel.Our well regarded Sudima Auckland Airport kitchen team offers out guests room service, a la carte and buffet for breakfast, a la carte for lunch and dinner in our Visaya restaurant, and extensive conferencing.We are currently seeking experienced Chef de Partie to join our team to produce creative and innovative gourmet dishes.Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, have excellent all round cooking skills but and is keen to progress their career.
We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about their career as a Chef and enjoys being part of a team.This full-time permanent role (minimum 30 hours per week) at a pay rate of $ per hour.
Based at Sudima Auckland Airport.Responsibilities | Nga haepapaResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Produce excellent quality dishes to brand standards for the restaurant, bar, conferencing and room service on a day to day basis Organising the shift, placing orders, prep completion and supporting the team to ensure the kitchen is always well prepared, clean and hygienic for each shift Support the Head Chef and, where appropriate, guide junior kitchen team members Offer flexibility with dietary needs and ensure excellent food hygiene and safety standards are adhered to Foster a great team environment of cooperation and respect between co-workers Planning menus, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering supplies.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations May select and train staff May freeze and preserve foods RequirementsAbout you | Ko koe teneiWe seek team members with a great attitude, in addition to that the following skills will see you succeed in this role.
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed below.
In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.
A qualification such as a certificate in Cookery (Level 4) will be an advantage.
