Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team.
As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain the smooth operation of the kitchen, with particular focus on the buffet-style setup.Accommodation is available for the right candidate, a team player who thrives in a remote, stunning location.Key Responsibilities:Food Preparation & Cooking:Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest quality in line with the buffet offerings and menu specifications.Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and ready for display at the buffet.Assist in developing and refining buffet items and maintaining the consistency of flavor and presentation.Manage your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards are adhered to.Maintain proper storage of ingredients, ensuring that all products are used efficiently and inventory is monitored.Ensure food safety standards are followed, including proper handling, storage, and labelling.Health & Safety:Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your team.Regularly clean and sanitize your station and equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.Necessary Qualifications:Level 4 Cookery, New Zealand QualificationHow do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a chef de partie?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.
