We are looking for a highly competent chef to join our team at Pacific Coast Village. Our job is to provide 4 stars plus Food and Beverage services to the residents and to ensure complete satisfaction upon every visit. You will never get bored with this role as you will learn the ropes in all areas. We require a superb chef that maintains professionalism, presents well, and is friendly to our elderly Residents.
This is a permanent full-time role, covering weekends and evenings.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare, present, and serve high quality dishes
Assist with and produce food items as per menu
Assist the main kitchen with other mise en place
Meeting the standard and quality set by the village
Monitoring portion and waste control
Coordinate daily tasks with Sous Chef
Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Experience working as a Chef de Partie
Must be an all-rounder with proven service skills
Great inter-personal skills and a passion for cooking
Must be a NZ resident or hold a valid work visa
Have regular access to transportation to get to and from work
The right candidate will be remunerated accordingly
