About the role Ideally located in Auckland Central, the boutique Fable Auckland Hotel is looking for 1 Part-time and 1 Full-time result-driven Chef de Partie to join our talented Kitchen team in the award-winning Cooke's Restaurant and Bar.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation requirements
Manage your assigned section in the kitchen
Maintain and order stocks and supplies
Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment at all times
Ensure stock is controlled and rotated
Organise a daily work schedule and ordering requirements
Work unsupervised, being able to manage other chefs and orders
Skills and Requirements: Minimum 1-3 years' kitchen experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment
Hold NZ citizenship, permanent residency or a current valid work visa
Physically fit and able to stand for the duration of a shift
Punctual, organised and trustworthy
Professional appearance
Flexibility to work on a full-time rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, early and late shifts.
Ability to follow orders as well as to work unsupervised
Ability to multi-task
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to solve problems, professionally handle pressure, and think-on-your-feet
Willingness to take initiative and make decisions
