We are looking to hire an experienced part time Chef de Partie to work in our fabulous kitchen team in our central city, iconic boutique hotel. This is a great opportunity to prove you can keep our restaurant reputation glowing.
For this role your overall availability needs to be 6.30am - 11pm, Monday to Sunday for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Position summary :
The Chef de Partie is responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef(s) operationally, delivering consistently high-quality food and maintaining strict hygiene standards to ensure all applicable food laws / regulations are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the standards and the quality set by our Auckland hotels.
Cooking and preparing high quality dishes.
Supervising kitchen where required.
Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, team members and suppliers/contractors, providing professional, positive and customer focused communications.
Complete all daily tasks as per checklists and adhere to procedures and policies as stated in the Procedures Manual.
Assist with managing stock levels as required, adhering to the stock management procedures and minimising wastage.
Support the maintenance of inventory of all kitchen related equipment and its utilisation.
Ensure safe food practices in respect of establishment and legislative requirements and well as ensure all health and safety measures are in place.
Ensure all areas of the kitchen and storage areas/fridges are kept tidy, clean and orderly utilising the correct food management rotation plan.
Ensure all kitchen areas are kept presentable, clean, and orderly.
Ensure the Kitchen Procedure Manual/SOPs are adhered to.
Ensure the ongoing service level and product is consistently above average at all times from the kitchen.
