Chef Assistant Wanted

To be considered suitable for this position, you will be rostered to work at least 30 hours per week and able to work on weekends and public holidays for this busy role.
What you will be doing: •       Maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen at all times.
•       Cook food by following the instructions from the chef  •       Handle, sort, store and distribute food items.
•       Wash, peel, chop, cut and assist other team members in the kitchen with preparing and cooking food, as required.
•       Follow directions toward portion control, sorting, storing, and distributing food items.
•       Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the kitchen, and make sure they are stored appropriately.
•       Clean food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas.
•       Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling; empty and clean all rubbish bins •       Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately.
•       Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen.
What we are looking for:  Prior knowledge and experience are not essential but would be an advantage Dedicated and reliable Excellent communication skills Team player   The pay rate for successful applicants will be pay between $30.00 - $32.00, depending on skill and experience.
