About the role
We have exciting full-time Chef and Cook opportunities available at The Finery, a brand new restaurant located in Alexandra, Central Otago. As an integral part of our passionate culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals that showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients.
What you'll be doing:
Preparing high-quality dishes for our restaurant customers using fresh, locally sourced produce.
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment.
Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive team culture.
What we're looking for:
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar hospitality environment.
Exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing meals.
Strong time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards.
Creative flair and a keen interest in experimenting with new flavours and techniques.
