The Godley Hotel is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Tekapo and we are looking for a kitchen legend to join our awesome team at our Jack Rabbit Cafe!If you would like to live and work in one of the most desirable summer and winter locations in New Zealand, then this is the job for you.Great opportunity to work directly under and learn from a highly experienced Head Chef.Minimum of 30 hours a week guaranteedMust be able to join at least for 3 months or moreExperience as cook is necessaryHourly rate negotiable upon experienceAccommodation availableYour duties and responsibilitiesAssisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stationsPreparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacksPlating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidanceWorking with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on timeWashing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shiftsEnsuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulationsTreating all staff fairly and with courtesyEnsuring all maintenance problems are promptly reported to Head or Sous ChefFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays - morning or dinner shiftsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as part of a teamApplicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.We are looking forward to meeting you.
