Full-time, Permanent Role North Shore Hospital
An exciting leadership opportunity has become available at North Shore Hospital for a Charge Nurse Manager in Wha Ward (formerly Ward 5). This is a full-time role in a dynamic and fast-paced ward.
Role Overview:
As the Charge Nurse Manager for Wha Ward, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled Registered Nurses, ensuring that high standards of clinical care are delivered. You will take on a pivotal role in shaping the professional development of nursing staff, guiding them in achieving excellence in clinical practice, and supporting their growth within a robust, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership & Management: Provide leadership in the delivery of quality care, ensuring the clinical and operational effectiveness of the ward.
Professional Development: Oversee the education and development of nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Quality Improvement: Manage clinical risk and contribute to the development and implementation of systems and processes that enhance patient access and outcomes.
Staff Support: Create a positive, supportive work environment, offering guidance and mentorship to staff at all levels.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in general medicine or a related specialty, with significant exposure to clinical leadership roles.
Qualifications: Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Health Leadership) are highly desirable.
Leadership & Clinical Knowledge: Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to nursing excellence and professional development. A passion for mentoring and empowering nursing teams to deliver the highest quality patient care is essential.
