We have anexciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to join our team in Ward 14.We are looking for a collaborative senior nurse with strong interpersonalskills, innovative thinking, and the ability to problem solve and respond inthis fast-paced environment.
Ward 14 based at Christchurch Hospital, is a 24-bedward that specialises in the care of patients under General Medicine, whichcovers a wide range of acute medical conditions, and Nephrology, which includesacute and planned renal transplant care/servicesfor across the Te Waipounamu region.
As a Senior Nurse, youwill have recent hospital experience with proven leadership skillssupporting daily operational activity and patient flow.
Your expertcommunication, interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage people atall levels will see you work effectively and efficiently with a diversegroup of teams.
You will lead your teamto provide advanced clinical care and nursing expertise to the patientsand their families/whanau.
By utilising youradvanced knowledge and skills in collaboration with nursing and medicalstaff, the multidisciplinary team, and other external agencies, you willcontribute to the development and maintenance of high quality evidencedbased patient care whilst also contributing to and developing, appropriatenursing standards and quality initiatives.
You can problem solveand manage complex situations as they arise, redistributing nursingresources to ensure the optimal patient experience while supportingclinical delivery. Your sound interpersonal skills and impeccablemanagement of complex situations enable you to work alongside a variety ofclinicians to ensure care is delivered as required.
You have acomprehensive understanding of competency in nursing and can workalongside individuals to support professional development.
Experience in relevant managementand/or leadership roles with the ability to influence decision making andchange.
Interpersonal skillsand building relationships.
Strategic thinking andpromoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
Familiar withoperational and financial management.
Competent user ofMicrosoft Office suite and other relevant software.
NZ Registered Nursewith a current Annual Practising Certificate and hold a relevant PostGraduate qualification.
