Job Opportunity: Senior Nurse Leadership Position Type: Permanent, full time 1.0 FTE
Location: Ward 14, Christchurch Hospital
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to join our team in Ward 14. We are looking for a collaborative senior nurse with strong interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to problem solve and respond in this fast-paced environment.
Ward 14 is a 24-bed ward that specializes in the care of patients under General Medicine, which covers a wide range of acute medical conditions, and Nephrology, which includes acute and planned renal transplant care/services for across the Te Waipounamu region.
Skills and Experience Extensive nursing experience is essential.
Registered with the Nursing Council of NZ with current APC.
Recent hospital experience with proven leadership skills supporting daily operational activity and patient flow.
Expert communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse group of teams.
Lead your team to provide advanced clinical care and nursing expertise to patients and their families/whanau.
Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in collaboration with nursing and medical staff, the multidisciplinary team, and other external agencies to maintain high-quality evidence-based patient care.
Problem solve and manage complex situations, redistributing nursing resources to ensure optimal patient experience while supporting clinical delivery.
Comprehensive understanding of competency in nursing and support professional development.
Experience in relevant management and/or leadership roles with the ability to influence decision-making and change.
Familiarity with operational and financial management.
Competent user of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate and hold a relevant Post Graduate qualification.
