This will include recruitment of staff (nursing, allied health and Kaiawhina workforces), development of relevant policies and procedures and implementing the identified Model of care.Developing and supporting a positive team culture where care is collaborative, inclusive, and multi-disciplinary.Providing day to day clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high quality standards of consumer care.Registered Nurse holding current New Zealand Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate with appropriate conditions.Experience working within an inpatient mental health setting.Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience including experience in recruitment of staff.A positive, solution focused mindset and experience in supporting change processes.Experience training and supporting the development of staff (including the Kaiawhina workforce)Exceptional communication and relationship building skills across all disciplines and a variety of teams (i.e. community teams / other inpatient units)Good knowledge and support for the integration of Tikanga Maori within an inpatient setting.An understanding of the Adult Inpatient Service, the way it integrates with other units and the pressures it currently faces.Specialist Mental Health Services are an interdisciplinary team that forms part of Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - Canterbury | Waitaha.
