Leadership opportunity within Adult Acute Inpatient Unit Tiaho Mai. We are looking for a Charge Nurse Manager for one of our High Dependency Units, on our modern adult inpatient mental health unit, Tiaho Mai. You will be motivated, enthusiastic, and a highly professional Registered Nurse, who is ready to work as part of a dynamic team, delivering quality equity-focused mental health inpatient care. Following a transformative re-build incorporating the latest technology and co-designed with our whaiora and wider community, Tiaho Mai is the newest inpatient mental health unit in the country. This role provides critical leadership in building workforce capability and capacity, clinical service delivery, operational management, contributing to policy, procedure, and service development, and supporting the team through the next stages of health sector reform. The Charge Nurse Manager acts as a role model for high standards of care by supporting an environment where excellence can flourish. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a genuine commitment to the people who we serve, within the diverse and culturally rich community of Counties Manukau. Our candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and possess honesty, integrity, and professionalism. You will need to have the ability to promote teamwork and navigate through the challenges of day-to-day operational and clinical leadership, by promoting a strong team culture and function, and a genuine focus on equitable health systems and outcomes. Supported by the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to strategic and service development, as well as to grow your leadership skills through professional development opportunities. Working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager, Acute Nurse Lead, Clinical Coaches, and members of the Senior Leadership Team, you will support the development of your staff and the service goals, and grow a workplace of excellence, by applying the latest evidence to inform the model of care. Essential: Registered Nurse with current NZ Annual Practising Certificate with scope of practice for Mental Health Evidence of further professional development Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in relevant clinical area completed or in progress Current Proficient or Expert PDRP A full NZ Driver's Licence with no limitations Join us on this exciting journey and apply online now at .
