Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the Intellectual Disability services including clinical leadership and co-ordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, and quality, clinical pathway development and other service delivery improvements within the ward/unit/service.Working in partnership with clinical and other staff, the Charge Nurse Manager will contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with the organisation's vision and values.About the Team/Service/ LocationTe Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities. We believe that our dedicated and passionate staff are a significant driving force behind the achievement of these standards, and we need more like-minded people to help us continue providing for our community.About youOur ideal candidate will have:A current Registered Nursing APCStrong clinical leadership and management skills and experienceProven experience working within the Mental Health sectorPost graduate diploma in a relevant fieldAdvanced communication techniques including conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skillsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to be flexible and innovativeA clear understanding of the principles underpinning mental health and addiction assessment and treatmentCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
