He angitutanga | About the role In this newly created role, you will lead the change management workstream for our HRIS (Human Resource Information System) transformation project.
Your focus will be on driving people-centric change, with an emphasis on adopting new systems and processes to ensure a positive experience for kaimahi.
Your ability to manage resistance to change, navigate periods of uncertainty, and empower leaders to create a positive change culture will be essential for success in this role.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with and influence a large, complex organisation with a geographically diverse workforce, making a significant impact.
Key responsibilities: * Lead and innovate change management initiatives and strategy to ensure a seamless transition and successful adoption of the people services delivered through the new HRIS system, working closely with People and Culture, IT, and key business stakeholders.
* Collaborate with business leaders to assess the impact of system changes on our people and processes and deliver effective change mechanisms that ensure alignment and support for the transition.
* Manage a team of change and training specialists, ensuring the successful delivery of change management activities and stakeholder support throughout the transition.
* Proactively identify and address change related risks related to adoption, developing pre-emptive strategies to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.
Track and report on the progress of change initiatives through metrics and feedback, providing insights for continuous improvement and successful implementation.
Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience This is a critical role within our HRIS transformation project, and we are looking for a seasoned practitioner who can manage the complexities of driving system and process change across a large, diverse workforce.
You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style, being comfortable operating and influencing at all levels of the organisation.
Your demonstrated knowledge of change management methodologies will support the adoption and embedding of the changes required and the development of change capability across the organisation.
You will also bring the following skills and experience: * Deep understanding of human elements involved in the change process, along with empathy for the needs and concerns of professionals and communities.
* A desire to be innovative in how change can be delivered in a multi-faceted organisation with a geographically dispersed workforce like DOC.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
* A relevant change management qualification such as Prosci or equivalent.
* Strong experience in establishing Change Management strategies, and Change Management Plans.
* Excellent internal and external communication and interpersonal skills.
* A strategic mindset to envision the long-term impact of change initiatives and outcomes.
* Proficiency in change management tools, methodologies and best practices.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities in complexity and ambiguity.
* Previous experience in rolling out HR systems in particular Workday is a significant plus.

The salary range for this position is $108,617 - $137,645 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
