The West Coast Regional Council is looking for an exceptional individual to join us as the CFO & Group Manager - Corporate Services.
This pivotal executive role is your opportunity to lead, innovate, and shape the future of our Council's corporate services functions.
As the CFO & Group Manager - Corporate Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Council's financial, strategic planning, and governance processes.
You will be instrumental in aligning our operational frameworks with our strategic objectives while complying with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Your expertise will be key in developing and maintaining robust financial risk management frameworks, providing strategic advice, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.About You:To be successful in this role, you will have:A recognised Applied/Honours tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.CA or CPA qualification.A minimum of 15+ years of experience in the finance industry, including extensive experience in a senior management role within a corporate services environment.
Experience in the public sector is highly preferable.Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and in-depth knowledge of financial management principles.Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities, with a commitment to serving the community.Proficiency in data collection tools, workplace best practices, and relevant technologies.A full driver's license, as travel to other West Coast Regional offices/sites will be required.Why Join Us?At the West Coast Regional Council, we are committed to creating a great place to work.
