Senior Leadership Role Strategic & Operational Focus Rehabilitation and reintegration programme delivery Salisbury Street Foundation (SSF) is based in Christchurch and offers men released from prison a positive pathway as they rehabilitate and reintegrate back into the community.
The Foundation is well-established, with a 45 year history of delivering rehabilitation and reintegration programmes, and is looking to further develop their residential facilities and programmes.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive (CEO) will lead the further development of the organisation, and working closely with the Clinical Manager, will support the ongoing development and delivery of rehabilitation and reintegration programmes in a manner that is consistent with the philosophies of SSF.
As such, the focus for the CEO will be in the areas of strategic planning, engaging with Te Ao Maori, finance, risk and contract management, the human resources functions, policy development, property management and the other non-clinical support functions.
The CEO will also play an active role in managing key relationships with the Department of Corrections and other key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who is comfortable working in a small team environment, where you will need to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
At the same time, working with the Board of Trustees, you also need to be forward thinking and capable of charting the pathways to achieve strategic goals, which could include new initiatives that require engagement with funding partners, stakeholders, and Iwi organisations.
As such, strong relationship management and excellent communication skills are essential, as is being able to show where you have achieved outcomes with your influencing skills.
You will also need to demonstrate strong financial, risk and commercial management skills, including contract management experience.
