Kopuwai Early Learning Centre is the only not-for-profit centre in Alexandra.Our team is highly skilled, dedicated and exhibits a passion to create nurturing and inclusive environments, rich in provocation – creating a sense of wonder and excitement to learn.This is a role where you will wear many hats. You will need to be adaptable and have the ability to meet a variety of needs. You will need to have strong, positive communication skills that encourage, motivate and inspire the team.Strong community relationships are essential in this role, as well as being responsible for compliance, budgets, liaising with the team on the Governance Board, employment, professional growth cycles of staff, meetings, and internal review - you will be an essential part of decision making for the future growth and the positive direction of our centre.Kopuwai Early Learning Centres promotes a calm and purposeful environment where tamariki and whanau feel welcome and safe. We pride ourselves on being a small centre, with high teacher to child ratios.At Kopuwai Early Learning Centre we value and respect whanaungatanga. Our Kaiako encourage whanau to be actively involved in their children's learning.Our Kaiako design programmes around nga tamariki, their current needs and emerging interests, underpinned by the principles of Te Whariki. Enriched play-based experiences promote creative, expressive and active exploration for Tamariki.What we're looking for:BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certificationFamiliarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics, Sharepoint, and StoryparkDemonstrated leadership experience, showing innovation, dedication and a passion for ECEInitiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whariki.How to applyPlease send your CV, and direct enquiries to:Type: Education & Care ServiceMaximum licensed places: 31
