We are seeking a dedicated Centre Manager to lead our team.Kopuwai Early Learning Centre is the only not-for-profit centre in Alexandra.Do you have strong and proven skills in leading and mentoring to achieve an inclusive team culture and professional growth?

Our team is highly skilled, dedicated, and exhibits a passion for creating nurturing and inclusive environments, rich in provocation – creating a sense of wonder and excitement to learn.About you:This is a role where you will wear many hats.
You will need to be adaptable and can meet a variety of needs.
You will need to have strong, positive communication skills that encourage, motivate, and inspire the team.
Strong community relationships are essential in this role, as well as being responsible for compliance, budgets, liaising with the team on the Governance Board, employment, professional growth cycles of staff, meetings, and internal review, to name just a few - you will be an essential part of decision-making for the future growth and positive direction of our centre.About us:Kopuwai Early Learning Centre promotes a calm and purposeful environment where tamariki and whanau feel welcome and safe.Our team is supported by a parent-run Governance Board.
We pride ourselves on being a small centre with high teacher-to-child ratios.
Our kaiako uphold the highest standards of ECE, following Te Whariki principles and best practices; they collaborate utilizing the strengths of the whole team to ensure cohesion and shared understanding of the direction of the Centre.
At Kopuwai Early Learning Centre, we value and respect whanaungatanga, the strong relationships that develop between akonga, kaiako, parents, whanau, and the wider community.
Our Kaiako encourages whanau to be actively involved in their children's learning.Our Kaiako design programmes around nga tamariki, their current needs and emerging interests, underpinned by the principles of Te Whariki.
Enriched play-based experiences promote creative, expressive, and active exploration for Tamariki.Role Overview:Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the centre ensures all regulatory and legislative requirements are always adhered to.
Please refer to our application pack for further information and a detailed job description.What We're Looking For:B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification.An inspirational leader who can inspire and lead a team to deliver best-practice childcare services.Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations, and Code of Ethics, Sharepoint, and Storypark.Demonstrated leadership experience, innovation, dedication, and a passion for Early Childhood Education.Initiative, desire, and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whariki.If you are an inspirational leader with a passion for Early Childhood Education, we want to hear from you!Please note:Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
