We are the stepping stones in the lives of tamariki within our community. An exciting opportunity has come about for a new Centre Cook to join our busy team at BestStart Glasgow Street. We are searching for someone who can provide fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for our children each day.As our Centre Cook, you will plan, prepare, and cook an appetising and culturally varied menu for the children, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. You'll need to be efficient with your time and have an excellent knowledge of foods that promote good nutrition and healthy eating for our children.Role requirements:Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence.We are looking for the following:Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.A passion for cooking and baking.An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements.Computer literacy to design menus and place orders each week.The ability to remain within the budgets for ordering food.A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children.How to Apply: Click Apply now and be part of a team that embraces growth, collaboration, and the joy of teaching.
