The centre advisor provides advice and support to four of our centres. They are the link between centres and regional management, ensuring statutory regulations are met and the needs of our whanau and Tamariki are supported.The centre advisor supports centres by:Providing advice and support to centres around the Tasman areaRole modelling and encouraging implementation of Playcentre philosophy and good practice in centresLeading preparation for Ministry of Education Review Office visitsEnsuring that day to day actions are carried out to support compliance with statutory requirementsPromoting the health of each centreManaging centre-based employeesLiaising with the Regional Office and the centrePosition is 14 hours throughout the week along with 4 fixed term hours. This position is during term-time only.The ideal candidate will:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 or above or ECE L4 and above and demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of either Playcentre or ECE environments.Desirable skills and experience will include:Excellent relationship management skills – proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholdersSound judgement, a great work ethic and ability to work independentlyAn understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how they relate to PlaycentreComputer literacy and experience with Microsoft OfficeAn ease of being in a leadership role with honesty, discretion, sensitivity, self-discipline, and resilienceApplicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to applyTo apply for this role, contact ****** with your CV & cover letter.
