Centre Advisor – Tairawhiti AreaThe Centre Advisor provides advice and support to our centres.
They are the link between centres and regional management, ensuring statutory regulations are met and the needs of our whanau and tamariki are supported.The Centre Advisor supports centres by:Role modelling and encouraging implementation of Playcentre philosophy and good practice in centres.Leading preparation for Ministry of Education Review Office visits.Promoting the health of each centre.Managing centre-based employees.Liaising with the Regional Office and the centre.Benefits of working for Playcentre:Flexible working hours (mostly term time only).Supportive working team.Regular free PLD & Training.Work laptop and phone.Start Date: As soon as possible; however, this can be negotiated.Location: Playcentres within Wairoa, Matawai, and Gisborne.Days & Hours: This is a permanent position Monday to Friday for 23 hours per week within the hours of 9am–2.45pm.
Additionally, you will have a fixed-term position with an extra 3.25 hours per week, ending 31st August 2025.The Ideal Candidate Will:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 or above or ECE L4 and above and demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of either Playcentre or ECE environments.You Will Bring:Excellent relationship management skills – proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders.Sound judgement, a great work ethic, and ability to work independently.Flexibility and the ability to deal with issues as they arise.Knowledge of Te Whariki, ECE curriculum, Early Childhood Education legislation, and MOE licensing criteria.Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office.An ease of being in a leadership role with honesty, discretion, sensitivity, self-discipline, and resilience.How to Apply:To apply for this role, contact ****** with your CV & cover letter.
