Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.6, Start Date: 17/03/2025, End Date: 31/08/2025 (Special support role)Early learning / kohanga reo, Certificated teacherPlaycentre's within the Hamilton/Cambridge region is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Centre Advisor to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community. The centre advisor provides advice and support to four of our centres. They are the link between centres and regional management, ensuring statutory regulations are met and the needs of our whanau and Tamariki are supported.The centre advisor supports centres by:Providing advice and support centres around the Hamilton/Cambridge areaRole modelling and encouraging implementation of Playcentre philosophy and good practice in centresLeading preparation for Ministry of Education Review Office visitsEnsuring that day to day actions is carried out to support compliance with statutory requirementsPromoting the health of each centreManaging centre-based employeesLiaising with the Regional Office and the centreMonday to Friday for 26.25 hours per week within the hours of 9am–2.45pm (including 30 min unpaid break). This is a fixed-term position starting on 17 March 2025 ending 31 August 2025.The ideal candidate will:Hold a Playcentre Course 3 or above or ECE L4 and above and demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of either Playcentre or ECE environments.Desirable skills and experience will include:Excellent relationship management skills – proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholdersSound judgement, a great work ethic and ability to work independentlyAn understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how they relate to PlaycentreComputer literacy and experience with Microsoft OfficeAn ease of being in a leadership role with honesty, discretion, sensitivity, self-discipline, and resilienceApplicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.How to applyTo apply for this role, contact ****** with your CV & cover letter.
