Amisfield Restaurant & Cellar at Lake Hayes in Queenstown is seeking a Cellar Door Host to join their successful team.
Amisfield is a Central Otago-based specialist producer of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines created from fruit grown on the estate vineyard, beneath the Pisa Mountain range in the Cromwell Basin.
We have been honoured with the accolade of 'Organic Winery of the Year' at both the 2022 and 2020 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards, with three of our wines also being awarded champion status as the highest scoring wine within their varietal class - our Amisfield Breakneck Reserve Pinot Noir 2019, Amisfield Dry Riesling 2020, and Amisfield Pinot Noir Rosé 2021.

This role is a dynamic position offering great wine industry experience, as you will be provided with extensive wine and sales training.
As part of our Cellar Door team, you will work alongside our Sales Manager to achieve sales targets for a variety of markets and provide a fantastic wine tasting experience to our customers.
Our winemaking, viticulture, and food teams will openly share their knowledge, support, and passion for wine and food with all of our team.
We are looking for that special someone who ideally has some of the following: Most importantly, has a great team-player approach with a hunger to learn and a passion for all things wine.
Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and interact with a high volume of customers.
Can perform a variety of functions related to wine sales, stock control, and shipping around the globe.
Ideally has some experience in retail and/or hospitality.
Experience using a CRM, a WSET qualification, or a Duty Manager's certificate would all be beneficial.
We offer our team full-time hours (30+ hrs per week) and a great wage ($26-$29.70/hour subject to experience) plus the chance to earn commission.
