This role is based at our events centre, Haere-roa, on the University of Canterbury's campus in Ilam.As a Catering Supervisor, you will form part of the OnGroup catering and events team in delivering an excellent catering experience to clients across campus, as well as oversee and implement commercial events booked within Haere-roa.Specific duties include:Front of house supervision during eventsAppropriately rostering casual catering staff on a weekly basisSupporting, directing and training casual catering staffCatering set ups and collectionsFood preparationHours of workVary depending on catering delivery and function bookings – min of 20 hours per weekMust be available to work after hours and weekendsCandidates must have:A full NZ drivers' licenceFlexible availabilityThe ability to work to a schedule released no less than 2 days in advanceAttention to detailRelevant experience in catering and hospitalityA friendly and approachable personalityAbout UCSANau Mai Ki Te Ropu Akonga o Te Whare Wananga o WaitahaWelcome to The University of Canterbury Students' Association (UCSA)Established in 1894, the UCSA is a registered not-for-profit organisation that supports UC students to succeed and belong.Our organisation is governed by an elected Student Executive, and we employ over 300 staff.
