Location: Christchurch – Burwood Hospital
Hours: 30 or 40 hours per week (each role includes 1 weekend day per week and are 10-hour shifts)
Start Date: Mid-January 2025
Position Type: Permanent (both part-time and full-time positions available)
About this RoleWellFood is seeking motivated, reliable, and punctual Catering Assistants to join our team at Burwood Hospital.
In this role, you will work as part of a large, dynamic team, collaborating with other Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants, and Cooks to provide an exceptional dining experience for our patients.
These roles offer the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
All training will be provided, and no food preparation is required – your main responsibilities will include assembling and delivering meal trays, assisting patients with menu choices, and ensuring the highest standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver meal and beverage services to patients in their wardsAssist patients in understanding and selecting menu optionsAssemble meal trays and deliver them to the wards while providing excellent customer service to patients and their whanauMaintain a clean and safe work environmentBe on your feet for most of the shift, including pushing trolleys and walking throughout the hospital
