In this role, you will work as part of a large, dynamic team, collaborating with other Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants, and Cooks to provide an exceptional dining experience for our patients.These roles offer the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
All training will be provided, and no food preparation is required – your main responsibilities will include assembling and delivering meal trays, assisting patients with menu choices, and ensuring the highest standard of service.Key Responsibilities:Deliver meal and beverage services to patients in their wardsAssist patients in understanding and selecting menu optionsAssemble meal trays and deliver them to the wards while providing excellent customer service to patients and their whanauMaintain a clean and safe work environmentBe on your feet for most of the shift, including pushing trolleys and walking throughout the hospitalAbout the Team/Service/Location:Burwood Hospital is one of New Zealand's centres of excellence for rehabilitation and elective orthopaedic surgery.
Located in the heart of the community, Burwood Hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including a specialized spinal unit, rehabilitation for those under 65, and care for older adults with physical and mental health needs.About You:We are looking for someone who has a passion for people, a positive and adaptable attitude, and strong customer service skills.
