NZCL is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to support people in their own homes.We are looking for casual support workers to help the Rangatahi and Tamariki in our disability intensive support services in our Wellington residential homes. We have residential homes all around Wellington, including Kapiti and Lower Hutt/Upper Hutt.About the RoleOur Support Workers assist Rangatahi and Tamariki who access our services to live as independently as possible in their community. Support Workers are part of a team that works shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings, integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our clients to be as independent as possible.Why UsWe are committed to our employees and are proud to employ and train the best people in all areas of our organisation.You will thrive on helping others and be committed to upholding high standards of care. Experience with disability is an advantage; however, it is not essential.Minimum RequirementsA desire to support our Rangatahi and Tamariki to learn new skills and achieve outcomesPrior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilitiesIdeally experience working with children or youthFull driver's licence and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekendsAt NZCL, we're passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and reflects the communities we serve.
