Our Speech Language Therapists provide skilled assessment, management and rehabilitation of a broad range of swallowing and communication disorders. There is also involvement in the Videofluoroscopy service.We're looking for a NZ Registered Speech Language Therapist to join our team!Ko wai koe | About YouIn this role, you will be responsible for:Providing comprehensive assessments, evaluations and treatments in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of practice for Speech Language Therapy.Educating and providing resources to patients and their families/whanau, your clinical team and colleagues in the interdisciplinary team.Ensuring appropriate documentation and patient records are updated and maintained;Contributing to quality service provision within the allocated wards, the Speech Language Therapy service and the wider Burwood site.Your skills will include:Ability to complete thorough assessments and be able to flexibly integrate interventions using problem solving, robust communication whilst being led by your client's goals.Ability to use objective assessment tools particularly Videofluoroscopy.Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams across Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation.Experience in working with patients with significant comorbidities would also be an advantage.Registered with NZSTA."Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi - Putting people at the heart of all we do"Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
