Located within the community in Rotorua, the residence provides support for people who have complex needs beyond the normal capability of residential mental health providers.
By utilising different skills, knowledge, and experiences (personal and professional) we offer our whai ora support to build daily routines, offering ongoing tools and encouragement to develop, grow, and flourish.
Role | Nga mahi In this role, you will utilise skills and knowledge as a Registered Nurse to support the plans for whai ora within the service.
This means working alongside Kaimahi (residential/peer support workers), seniors, and the team manager, effectively ensuring the service meets whai ora outcomes.
You will work directly with the whai ora, identifying strengths, goals, and issues.
Additionally, you will coordinate (key working) allocated whai ora; entry, client pathway, reviews, external client meetings as well as exit.
You will | Nga Pukenga Be registered and have a current practicing certificate in nursing Experience in mental health nursing is preferred Full NZ Driver's Licence Hold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship Have a client-centred, recovery-focused approach.
You must unwaveringly believe in people's ability to progress no matter the obstacles. Knowledge of mental health rehabilitation approaches (e.g., cognitive remediation, psychosocial rehabilitation), experience working with co-occurring addictions, and/or cognitive difficulties, and knowledge of Maori health approaches would be greatly welcomed. Have a passion for walking alongside those in need, supporting ongoing goals on the pathway to recovery.
