Mo te turanga / About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife to fulfil a casual position at Te Whatu Ora Lakes. We are a busy secondary care maternity unit, overseeing 1250 births per annum, with a full range of secondary obstetric services. You will be responsible for: Provision of clinical midwifery services in accordance with the Midwifery Council scope of practice Provision of primary and secondary maternity services as part of our inter-disciplinary clinical teams Commitment to maintaining clinical skills in accordance with organisational best practice guidelines Commitment to continuous quality improvement activities Due to this position having contact with children and Te Whatu Ora's commitment to child protection, you will be subject to 'safety checks' under the Children's Act at the time of hire and thereafter as per the relevant legislation. Mo koe / About you Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate Midwifery Certificate Recent clinical experience in midwifery practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all stakeholders Commitment to being a team player Awhe utu / Salary range Salary range: $79,261 to $108,008 pro-rated to hours worked.
