Our regional office in New Plymouth supports the Maari Field operation and we are currently recruiting Casual Mechanical Technicians to join our team.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting maintenance on the facility's process plant, equipment, and vessel utilities including steam, boilers, and power generation in accordance with statutory, class, and flag regulations together with the Safety / Operations Management Systems.
Optimising maintenance and boiler operations.
Responding effectively in emergencies.
Key skills and experience required:
Three to five years mechanical maintenance experience in an offshore, marine, petrochemical, or hydrocarbon environment.
Trade qualification, National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4), or equivalent.
Knowledge of steam/boiler management systems and operation.
Proven ability to troubleshoot effectively.
Conscientious, flexible, safety conscious, and capable of assertive, professional, and positive communication and performance.
Knowledge of cargo handling and marine utility systems.
Additional qualifications:
Marine Engineering Class 2 or 3 qualification.
National Certificate in Energy and Chemical Plant (Process Operation) Level 2 (or equivalent).
