This is a casual role supporting our commercial laundry business dispatching laundry to multiple Care Homes around Auckland and 2 in the Waikato.
Where there is availability, you will also be able to pick up casual shifts as a Laundry Assistant when needed.
The laundry driver shift goes from 4am to 2:30pm, and you could be called in to support any day of the week as it is a Monday - Sunday operation.

No heavy vehicle license required, just the standard Class 1 license and a clean driving record.

Some of the great things you will be doing: Efficiently and safely drive the laundry truck and collect dirty laundry and deliver clean laundry as scheduled.
Deliver personal laundry packages to designated area requested by Village Managers.
Help in the laundry with basic duties as required, e.g., folding, placement of linen.
Performs vehicle maintenance as appropriate e.g., refuel, check tyre pressure, oil, and water routinely Notify any vehicle defects and report damage to your manager.
Document and report incidents/accidents/damage appropriately in line with standard operating procedures.
Complete vehicle audit(s) checklist as scheduled and needed About you As mentioned, you do not need a heavy vehicle driver's license, just confidence in driving and physically fit, be flexible with your availability and enjoy interacting with a variety of different people.
