About the role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to take over the leadership of our Kitchen at Whangarei Park Village in Whangarei.
This position is responsible for the profitable management of the kitchen operations, ensuring a welcoming and professional customer experience. You will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the dining experience, building upon our reputation for food quality and culinary excellence.
This role is working Monday to Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM. This casual opportunity is due to commence on October 14th and will last for a minimum of two weeks.
Key responsibilities will include: Oversee daily kitchen operations - which runs 7 days a week - including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Complete management of stock control, overall policies, and procedures in the kitchen, including internal audits. Responsibility for the recruitment, leadership, and supervision of the kitchen employees; capability/development; training and succession planning; informal coaching; annual performance reviews; all relevant facility and staff qualification certificates are complete. Preparing attractive, profitable menus and cabinet food for our residents. Shaping the dining experience and service making certain your team delivers to the highest standard possible. Engaging with residents to identify new service opportunities. Responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others within the workplace. About you: You will be an experienced Chef with management experience from within a hospitality setting. Experience working in an Aged Care setting would be advantageous. You will be a natural leader and able to build a culture of service second to none. You have strong IT skills to enable you to effectively navigate the digital side of the role.
