Status – This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. In this role you will be covering sick (oncall) and annual leave.
Shifts – The service operates Monday to Sunday - Morning 6:45am – 3:15pm, Afternoon 2:30pm – 11pm and Nights 11pm – 7am.
Salary – Starting from $60,100 to $70,358 per annum. Based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement.

Oxford Community Hospital is a 14 bed hospital offering continuing care of the elderly, medical, palliative care and respite care for the local community. We are after a proactive, confident and energetic Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a rural setting. You will contribute to the friendly, cohesive team by providing expert care to the patients.
You will be responsible for assisting nursing staff with patient care - their personal cares and activities, ensuring the ward environment is tidy, safe and hazard free. Please note the successful candidate must be able to work all shifts.

Punctuality, reliability and excellent interpersonal skills.
Versatile, good time management, good communication skills, caring, able to think outside the square, and an interest in activities and cooking would be an advantage.
Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is highly desired.
