Company DescriptionMercure Canberra combines timeless charm with modern comfort, strategically located near the CBD, National Convention Centre, and Australian War Memorial, offering a unique blend of history and contemporary luxury.Job DescriptionAs a Guest Services Agent, you will report to the Front Office Manager and Duty Managers, providing exceptional customer service to our guests as they check in and out of the hotel.What you will be doing:Providing passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly service to external and in-house guests at all times.Assisting guests with enquiries and complaints and providing accurate information about property facilities and features.Checking guests in and out of the hotel in a timely manner.Handling guest enquiries and providing information on local attractions, giving directions where required.Taking reservations as required.Ensuring accurate payment of guest accounts.QualificationsPrevious customer service experience is desired, particularly in a hotel environment.Enthusiastic, with a natural ability to build rapport both in person and over the telephone.Ability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including weekends and evenings.Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office and Opera (or similar hotel management system).You are encouraged to apply if you believe you have something to offer.
