This is an exciting opportunity to join our Waka Manaaki Service as a Driver with Ngati Porou Oranga.
We have Casual Driver positions available.
This role will work closely with our Primary Care & Community General Manager and our wider Ngati Porou whanau to provide transport services from Matakaoa - Te Araroa to Gisborne township.
You will have:
A vibrant, positive can-do attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and get the mahi done!
A current and clean Drivers Licence with P endorsement and Class 2 or 4 Licence if appropriate and/or required
Ability to perform safety and vehicle inspections before departure
The service is operated in a timely manner that meets the needs of our Coastal whanau travelling to and from specialist appointments in Turanga
Follow a specific timetable that obeys transit regulations, traffic and safety procedures to ensure safety of all travelling whanau and their ongoing comfort and care.
Assist disabled and elderly whanau with embarking and disembarking
Report all mechanical issues to Manager immediately
Maintain a clean and sanitary vehicle at all times
Adapt any other additional duties as demands require and directed by Manager
