Te aheinga - The opportunity The New Plymouth Event Venues ticketing team are looking for casual customer service superstars to help deliver exciting events for our vibrant community! You will be working at events, so weekend and evening availability is essential. You will be joining a supportive and close-knit team and full training will be provided.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities: Respond to ticketing enquiries and sell tickets to events for NPDC VenuesAssist with marketing and promotional activities and ensure all event marketing material is accurate and on displayOffer upsells to customers at point of purchase and assist in the delivery of ticketing sales targetsEnsure accurate customer information is captured and data is uploaded to the relevant systemsComplete end of shift reconciliation of sales, including balancing of EFTPOS and cash transactionsProvide scanning and wrist-banding services for events as requiredMerchandise shifts, including restocking, selling items, and end of shift reconciliationsProvide administrative support to the wider venues team if required (Marketing, Administration, Business Development etc.)Participate in any mandatory training as requiredNga tino pukenga me nga wheako - Essential skills and experience: Proven cash handling experienceExceptional customer service skillsCan think on your feetAbility to work in a busy and fast paced environmentOu matou rourou - What we offer At the New Plymouth District Council we aim to create and sustain a truly rewarding workplace environment for our staff including solid career pathways, learning and development opportunities as well as personal and professional development.
