You will be responsible for preparing coffee and other beverages.
You will also be responsible for serving and collecting meals and operating the cash register.Some of the great things you will be doingTaking residents, visitors and staff food and beverage ordersServing and collecting mealsMaking cups of coffeeOperating the registerGeneral cleaning including café equipmentAdditional Kitchen duties as and when requiredAbout youThis is a fast paced environment so you'll be someone who loves being part of the team, enjoy thinking on your feet and can prioritise and juggle tasks with ease.
With the enjoyment of helping others some things that will support your application include:Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as commercial kitchen/caféBarista skills - ideally you will have previous experience in a busy café operating the coffee machine and preparing various hot beveragesHave impeccable personal presentationHave exceptional interpersonal skills - it's a people role!Have good communication both written and verbalHold a Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)About usMetlifecare is a leading New Zealand owner and operator of retirement villages, providing rewarding lifestyles and outstanding care to more than 5,600 New Zealanders.
