Our work reflects the needs of our people and the industries that thrive on the lands and waters in our Rohe.Ngati Porou Oranga are looking for an experienced and passionate Caseloading Midwife to join our Nati Pepi Team.As a Nati Pepi Caseloading Midwife, you will be working across our East Coast communities from Gisborne to Matakaoa, Te Araroa and nestled in the center of our rohe is our very own birthing unit based in Te Puia Springs.Nati Pepi is an indigenous maternal and infant wellbeing service, newly established in Te Tairawhiti. We are a Kaupapa Maori centred service that blends clinical, social wellbeing and Rongoa Maori practices to offer whanau an integrated maternal and infant wellbeing service, investing into whanau ora.Nati Pepi is a unique service specialising in the future of our community through providing a high access service, sharing matauranga on traditional birthing and parenting practices and strengthening the cultural identity of whanau and kaimahi and supporting the mana motuhake of the whanau to thrive.As a Caseloading Midwife, you will work within a dynamic, professional and nurturing team environment with a shared caseload, where we support the professional and cultural development of our kaimahi.This is a Permanent Full-time position based across Te Tairawhiti, working a shared roster, offering work life balance.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree or higher in Midwifery.Current registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand.Current Advanced CPR level 7 and neonatal resuscitation certification.Ability to connect with patients on a personal level and show genuine empathy.Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to hapu wahine, pregnant individuals and their whanau.Ensure the safety, well-being, and informed choices of hapu wahine, pregnant individuals and their whanau.A high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi and the Ottawa charter.Proactive in exemplifying the organisation's values, embedding Ngati Poroutanga in all work practices.Full, clean NZ Driver License.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrates a range of skills, knowledge, and attitudes that contribute positively to the organisation's purpose.Actively participate in performance management strategies that align with the goals and strategic direction of the organisation.Able to establish a good rapport with people.Being flexible, innovative, and open to continuous learning in a changing environment.Trustworthy and confidential.What we offer:A supportive, professional, friendly environment, where people love coming to work.Awesome opportunities for professional and personal development.Fully subsidized Comprehensive Health Insurance (permanent kaimahi).5 weeks Annual Leave.Designated access to On-call Midwife Company Vehicle.Accommodation for East Coast based Midwives negotiable.To apply, please submit a current Cover Letter and CV with your application, describing your motivation for joining Ngati Porou Oranga reflecting relevant skills and experience.Applicants must be eligible to work in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
