Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,2 days from an RACP office location per week,1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.Job DescriptionAbout the Role Overseas Trained Physicians (OTPs) are specialist physicians or paediatricians who have received their medical education and training outside of the country where they intend to practice. Overseas specialists in Australia can access short-term specialist training and specialist assessment. In Aotearoa New Zealand, overseas specialists can access vocational registration. At RACP this program is responsible for the strategic management of OTP's from a program development and program delivery perspective.
The Case Officer reports directly to the Program Delivery Officer (OTP NZ) in Wellington under the oversight of the Program Lead (OTP AU). The Case Officer also reports to the Aotearoa New Zealand Manager (NZ) on office operational matters. The Case Officer works closely with counterparts in the Medical Council of New Zealand, and with Fellows providing pro-bono service to the College. The position holder provides support to the College committee responsible for OTP matters in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Duties include: Support day to day delivery of the OTP program and activities as it relates to Aotearoa New Zealand.Work with the Program Delivery Officer on the development, implementation, administration and evaluation of new initiatives for the continuous improvement of the programSupport the Aotearoa New Zealand OTP Assessment Committee as neededEnsure compliance with regulatory standards and timeframesProofread reports from College assessors, ensuring that information is accurate and written to professional standardsOrganise and host interviews for OTPs under assessmentCoordinate Fellowship pre-applications and processes for OTPs in Aotearoa New ZealandAssist with the development of guidelines, processes and policies for program communicationsDesired Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in education or a related fieldExcellent written and communication skillsDemonstrated capacity to quickly understand and operate in a complex environmentCommitment to delivering high quality outcomesCapability to take initiative and implement process change to effect improvementAbility to provide robust advice to senior internal and external stakeholders based on information gathering, analysis and sound reasoning skillsAssessment of applications in regulatory or rules based assessment settingStrong relationship-building skillsAbility to represent the OTP Team at meetings and in communications as required and appropriateTo apply, please send your resume and short cover letter by COB 17 December 2024.
