This critical frontline position in the Ministry of Social Development is one in which every day will be busy and demanding. It will also be highly rewarding as your work will have a meaningful impact on people's lives. Our services cover income, housing and employment so if you want a job where you can positively impact the lives of others, a Case Manager role is a challenge you will enjoy.
As part of one of our teams, you will work alongside clients to provide support to help improve their lives and enable them to move into employment and other development opportunities. We are looking for additional staff for our Wellington Service Centres.

Can easily connect to services, support and available opportunities including secure safe housing.
Can successfully transition into training for work readiness or directly into work.
Can maintain or gain independence and otherwise maximise their potential.
About you:
If you can demonstrate the following skills, this could be a role for you:
Exceptional communication skills – you will need to be articulate and have a welcoming approach, Manaakitanga to establish a rapport and get to know and understand how best to support our clients as you work with them to support the achievement of their goals.
Personal integrity – you will need to prove you have sound judgement and the ability to act with honesty and fairness.
Initiative – the ability to 'think on your feet', make sound decisions and while following guidelines, look for solutions which may be 'outside the box'.
Relationship management skills – interacting across the team and around the region as well as with clients from all backgrounds and other government and social service agencies means you need to be an outgoing and positive person, happy to interact with everyone.
Computer skills – you need to be comfortable navigating your way around computer systems.
Fast learner – you need to be able to demonstrate you have previously learned new and complex information quickly.
Problem solver – if you're curious and like discovering details and facts to find answers, this is a good trait for this role.
Outcome focussed – you will need to be a person who likes achievement, who sets personal goals and who is able to work with others to help them set goals and discover their potential.
Work well under pressure – you need to be organised and love being busy to succeed in this role.
Empathy and a non-judgmental approach to serving others are essential attributes.
