About the team | Ko te ropu nei The Case Manager Service works across the Council and with a range of external project stakeholders to assist in navigating the Council processes for approvals, licenses, and consents for residential and commercial construction projects.
About the role | Ko te mahi nei Your role is key to forming and maintaining productive relationships with the Christchurch development community.
You will identify what needs to be done, activate Council resources, and clear obstacles while ensuring regulatory objectives are achieved, including safety of development projects and equitable treatment of stakeholders.
You'll manage a portfolio of work that includes large scale projects of high importance to the city.
About you | Ko Koe Tenei Your relationship management and influencing skills are critical.
You will have a demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day work and challenging approval scenarios.
Your problem-solving skills, understanding of construction and development processes, and ability to find the right information will be essential.
You will also have: A formal qualification related to building and development or at least five years' experience in building and/or development projects managing multiple stakeholders in a large organisation.
Working experience and knowledge of the range of approvals required for commercial and residential projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a business environment.

Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
